Prepare for the tests:
- ETS has found that most of the test takers who failed
the tests did not prepare for them in any way. Therefore, you should start
preparing several months before you plan to take the tests.
- The primary source for information on the tests should
be the Test-at-a-Glance publications. The booklets are free and may be
obtained in Keystone 202 or via the Internet at
Test at a Glance.
If there is a test guide for the test you are taking, check the Praxis Prep
Office in Keystone 409 to see if we have it for you to borrow. Or you
can call the Praxis Prep Office at 724-938-4487.
- Barron's How to Prepare for the Praxis is also
another good resource which can be borrowed from the Praxis Prep Office also.

Praxis offers a free
packet of information for every praxis test they make called Test at a
Glance. These packets will tell you exactly what topics are on the
test, how much of the test they compose, and will also give you a short
practice test. The Test's at a Glance will also give you some idea of the types of questions
that will be asked on the real praxis test.
Download the Test at a
Glance and practice test for your specific area to help you study for
your test. You will find a
list of all tests required by the state of Pennsylvania. Click on the
test number to download the packet and practice test you wish to take. |
- If the ETS site is down, you can download the Test at a Glance from
the Cal U backup site.
